Аннотация: The atomic structure and elastic properties of silicon carbide nanowires were calculated by density functional theory. The effect of the surface reconstruction and relaxation was observed. The splitting of the SIC geometry to hexagonal and cubic phases was found. The Young's modulus of the nanowires was calculated.
