Аннотация: The article presents theoretical information about pulse methods of press-fitting pipes into the tube sheet of a shell-and-tube heat exchanger. The analysis of the existing designs of devices for electropulse press-fitting pipes in the tube sheet is made; the weaknesses of these devices are identified. The design of the device for Показать полностьюpress-fitting into the tube sheet by the electropulse method is developed, which is devoid of the disadvantages of the designs considered in this article. A distinctive design decision is the use of a reusable shank with a support flange. The shank is made of metal and is presented in the form of bellows compensator. The second distinctive decision is the use of a gap sealer between the device body and the pipe, which has no chemical affinity with the device body. The paper describes in detail the principle of operation of the proposed device. In addition the authors developed a drawing of the proposed design of the device for press-fitting pipes into the tube sheet of the shell-and-tube heat exchanger. © 2019 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
