Аннотация: The sources of test fields used for estimating a functional of electric field energy are charges distributed over conductor surfaces. According to Thompson's principle estimates of capacitance obtained by this way are lower estimates. This investigation is based on Dirichle's principle. Results of calculated numerical upper estimatПоказать полностьюes for the capacitance of a ring are presented (lower estimates of the capacitance are given for comparison). The advantage of the method described in this article over the numerical method may be explained by the fact that all calculations before matrix transformations has been carried out analytically. This has not hindered but on the contrary promoted calculations.
