Аннотация: The problem is considered of breakdown and dissolution of sediments that form during storage of especially toxic waste liquids in enterprises for reprocessing spent nuclear fuel. Extraction of sediments by a traditional method is impossible due to sediment high activity. All the processes are performed remotely. The storage vessel Показать полностьюfor liquid wastes is not intended for performing active chemical processes, and this places additional limitations on the use of highly concentrated chemical reagents, since this may lead to their breakdown and waste liquids getting into the environment. The new technology is based on replacing water in chemical reagent solutions by water activated by means of hydrodynamic cavitation effects. © 2011 Springer Science+Business Media, Inc.
