Аннотация: The atomic structure and elastic properties of Y-silicon nanowire junctions were theoretically studied and effective Young modules were calculated using Tersoff interatomic potential. It was shown that boundary effects at junctions of different parts of the wires determine mechanical properties of the nanostructures.
