Аннотация: <jats:p>The paper presents the results of research into the application of reagent-free methods of clarified water treatment in closed hydraulic ash removal systems of thermal power plants. We propose the installations using cavitation technology on the basis of theoretical analysis and experimental studies, which allows simultaneoПоказать полностьюusly solving the problems of physical and chemical water purification and excluding the deposit of insoluble salts in pipelines. The aim of the study is to develop technological proposals and technical solutions for modernization of classical settling ponds aimed to improve the efficiency of treatment of hydro ash removal system effluent. Efficiency of clarified water treatment of the hydraulic ash-transport system of the heat enterprises and power complex in settling ponds (standard hydraulic structures) does not meet the requirements to the quality of water treatment established by the Russian environmental legislation both for discharge into natural water bodies and for the formation of a full-fledged recycling industrial water use. In this connection it is expedient to develop and introduce into production alternative, reagentless, and highly effective methods of treatment of multicomponent waste water. Such methods include wastewater treatment based on the effects of hydrothermodynamic cavitation.</jats:p>
