Аннотация: Polymers are chains of linked monomer units. Polymers are, as a rule, solid amorphous substances that soften with heating, and with further heating, the internal movement of molecules leads to their destruction into shorter elements. In this case, the target group for the destruction of molecules, depending on the heating method, cПоказать полностьюan be both bonds between chain links and the removal of atoms of other elements from the carbon chain. The breaking of the bond between the links of the polymer chain sets the molecular chain into free movement, which can result in both the looping of this chain and the detachment of a part of one link, a whole link or a group of links. If the medium in which the pyrolysis occurs is reactive, then the components of the mixture can also be attached to the molecular chain. As a result, the general mechanism of pyrolysis of polymers in brown coal gas consists in the thermal decomposition of the polymer with the participation of carbon dioxide into parts of one unit, whole units or groups of units, followed by passivation of active bonds in the unit with hydrogen. © 2022 Author(s).
