Аннотация: Статья посвящена исследованию источниковой базы пятой книги труда Арнобия «Adversus nationes libri septem» (Семь книг против язычников). Эта книга не раз привлекала внимание ученых как в связи с интересом к ее содержанию (данные о тайных мистериях), так и в связи с возникающими проблемами касательно заимствования Арнобием этих даннПоказать полностьюых у языческих и христианских авторов. Наше исследование материалов пятой книги приводит к заключению о зависимости Арнобия от сочинений Теренция Варрона и о незнакомстве его с трудами других христианских писателей. The article is devoted to the study of the source base of the fifth book of Arnobius’ work <i>Adversus nationes libri septem</i>. This book has repeatedly attracted the attention of scholars both in connection with the interest in its content (data on secret mysteries) and in connection with the emerging problems regarding Arnobius’ borrowing of these data from pagan and Christian authors. Some researchers insist on Arnobius’ dependence on Clement of Alexandria. Comparing the material of Arnobius with parallel places from Clement’s Exhortation to the Hellenes, the author of the article makes arguments in favor of the opinion of those scholars who believe that Arnobius and Clement had a common source. Perhaps this source was Varro’s work <i>Antiquitates rerum divinarum</i> or reference books written on the basis of this work.Our study of the materials of the fifth book leads to the conclusion about Arnobius’ dependence on the works of Terentius Varro and his unfamiliarity with the works of other Christian writers.
