The article defines the development dynamics in the service sector in Kuzbass, its significance in the formation of the gross regional product, analyzes the average per capita volumes and the structure of service sector revenue in the Kemerovo region in comparison with the indicators in the Russian Federation and Siberian Federal District. Based on the research carried out, the specific features and trends in the development of the service sector in the region have been identified.
