Аннотация: In the article two similar bronze knives have analyzed, who found in the taiga of the Middle Yenisei at the Ust-Shilka-2 and Shilka XIII settlements. Both knives have found in dwellings of the Shilka and Nizhneporozhinsky cultures. They date back from the end of the 1st millennium BC to the beginning of the 1st millennium AD. The kПоказать полностьюnives are almost identical. The noted differences are associated with casting defects. Both knives are cranked, with a divided handle. There are images of the heads of predatory birds at the end of knifes. Similar knives have found in the Minusinsk steppe. Exact copies of these knives have not been found, however, there are similar items with the same set of pictorial elements are known. The article raises the question of the reasons for the appearance of this knives in the north settlements. The population of the taiga at that time owned the technology of melting bronze. The conclusion outlines the prospects for further research.
