Аннотация: The article is a scientific art criticism study of the creativity of the Krasnoyarsk artist Vasily Slonov. The artist's works were shown at international exhibitions, at the exhibition «United States of Siberia», where the term «Siberian ironic conceptualism» arose, as well as at the exhibition of contemporary Krasnoyarsk art in thПоказать полностьюe Erarta Museum of Contemporary Art. The authors report that despite the solid exhibition history, to date, art criticism studies of the work of Vasily Slonov are almost completely absent. In this article, the authors have identified the key idea of the artist's work - the release of taboo topics in society; the main artistic traditions of V. Slonov are analyzed - surrealism, Russian folk art, avant-garde art of the early XX century, conceptual art; the principles of the artist's work with artistic materials - brick, cotton wool, cars, oil and some others - are outlined. The article analyzes the meaning of the «zebra» image in the artist's work, some principles of the artist's work with Russian visual national symbols. Also, the article outlines further prospects for the study of V. Slonov's work - the media image of the artist, conducting philosophical and art studies of other works of the author. © Siberian Federal University. All rights reserved
