Аннотация: The diffusion of hydrogen from an acid solution through an amorphous alloy-membrane of Fe92Si6B2 composition occurring in a Devanathan cell has been investigated in this work. It has been established that hydrogen diffusion decreases as the acidity of the medium increases, while the ionic strength of the solution remains unchanged. Possible variants of hydrogen interaction with the nonequilibrium structure of the studied alloy have been discussed. The probable mechanisms of oxide formation on the alloy surface blocking the hydrogen-free passage through the membrane are suggested and the kinetics of these processes, depending on the acidity of the working solution, are considered. An insignificant change in mechanical characteristics of amorphous alloy Fe92Si6B2 (ultimate strength, microhardness, Young's modulus) is noted as a result of the influence of the working solution containing hydrogen on it. The expansion of the range of applications of amorphous metal alloys raises the problems of studying the structure and properties of these materials after various kinds of influences, in particular, after exposure to environments that lead to hydrogen embrittlement and corrosion. The increase in the service life of products made of amorphous metallic alloys is inversely related to their hydrogen content. The degree of hydrogenation of metal alloys is determined by the diffusion capacity of hydrogen. The latter can be estimated by measuring the current density of diffusing hydrogen through a membrane made of the alloy under study. In this connection, the work aims to study the solid-phase diffusion of hydrogen through a membrane made of amorphous alloy Fe92Si6B2 and changes in the mechanical properties of such a membrane (ultimate strength, ductility, microhardness, Young's modulus) after exposure to hydrogen-containing solutions.
