Аннотация: As is well known, using model characteristics was long ago introduced into sports practice. In kettlebell lifting, however, modeling has never been studied and, therefore, has not yet sought development and implementation. The object of the research is the training of teenage athletes aged 13-15 doing kettlebell lifting. The subjecПоказать полностьюt of the research is enhancement of the physical fitness level of such athletes based on the use of model characteristics. The aim of the research is theoretical justification, development and verification of the method of physical fitness level enhancement of teenage athletes aged 13-15 doing kettlebell lifting through the use of model characteristics during their training. The objectives of the research are: (1) to study and analyze the theoretical literature and the practical status of the issue; (2) to select and adjust a range of motor tests according to basic dominant motor characteristics and biomechanical aspects of kettlebell lifting techniques; on the basis of that to formulate the model characteristics and create scientific and methodological support of physical fitness level enhancement during the training of the athletes; (3) to elaborate and implement the method of physical fitness level enhancement of teenage athletes aged 13-15 doing kettlebell lifting based on the use of model characteristics. The research was held from 2015 to 2016 in the city of Tomsk. Members of the control group (CG) were training within a general course, while the experimental group (EP) participants were training in a program in accordance with data from their personal diaries which included information about the athlete and the model level. After a year of the experiment all the athletes took a second motor test of their physical fitness level. Results of the 30 meter sprint test showed that CG members have improved their scores by 2.6%, while EG members' results increased by 7%. The "clean" kettlebell exercise with both kettlebells in both hands showed the improvement by 20% in CG and 28.6% in EG. Also positive developments were registered in the range of other motor tests: the medicine ball chest throw test (2.7% in CG and 5.3% EG), the underhand medicine ball throw test (2.4% in CG and 4.3% in EG), push-ups (6.3 % in CG and 15.2% in EG), the standing long jump (6.1% in CG and 9% in EG), the hang pull-up test (12.5% in CG and 19.2% in EG), the 1000 meters running test (4% CG and 7.5% EG). Drastic improvements were shown in the sit and reach test (29% in CG and 46.3% in EG). The hand grip strength test revealed improvements by 11.5% in CG and 15.4% in EG. These data, revealing the higher increase of the EG motor test results in comparison with those in CG, support the view that the experimental method with the use of the elaborated model characteristics proves to be highly effective in training teenage kettlebell lifting athletes.
