FEATURES OF HYDROGEN DIFFUSION THROUGH THE FE-BASED AMORPHOUS MEMBRANES AND CHANING THEIR MECHANICAL PARAMETERS

Аннотация: In this work, hydrogen diffusion, occurring from an acidic solution through Fe92Si6B2 amorphous alloy-membrane, has been investigated in a Devanathan cell. It has been established that hydrogen diffusion decreases with the growth of acidity of the environment at the constant ionic force of the solution. The probable ways of the interaction between hydrogen and nonequilibrium structure of examined alloy have been discussed. The possible mechanisms of surface oxidization, blocking the free hydrogen penetration through the membrane, have been suggested, and kinetics of that processes also has been considered depending on the variation of acidity of a working solution. A slight shift in value of the mechanical parameters (tensile strength, microhardness, Young's modulus) has been detected for Fe92Si6B2 amorphous alloy after its treatment by the working hydrogen-containing solution.
