Аннотация: The approach to ensuring the reliability of the functioning of a multiprocessor computer system in the design process is described. A computing system consists of an arbitrary number of different types of processors, an arbitrary number of interface buses, and shared memory. Processors and buses can fail at any points in time. The Показать полностьюprocess of functioning of a computer system is represented by a closed queuing system with a limited queue, where the streams of recovery requests from processors and buses are considered as independent of each other, and the integral flow of requests in the system is considered as the simplest Poisson one. The reliability of a computing system is considered as the probability of providing the given performance and is achieved due to structural redundancy in comparison with the minimum configuration, which provides the given performance with one hundred percent operability of its elements. The proposed approach can be used to assess the reliability of multiprocessor computing systems at the design stage, which will reduce the cost of manufacturing prototypes of computing systems during their development.
