Аннотация: The radial sizes of more than one billion tracheids of Pinus sylvestris and Larix sibirica were measured and a close correlation was found between radial cell sizes and corresponding relative rates of cell production. On this basis, a phenomenological model for the reconstruction of growth ring development is proposed. The experimeПоказать полностьюntal data and data from the literature on physiological mechanisms of ring growth were used to develop a simulation of seasonal growth kinetics and cell structure of the rings in response to climate in each season. The model was verified for P. sylvestris from southern Krasnoyarsk and for P. ponderosa from Arizona, USA.
