Аннотация: The textbook sets out the basics of the theory of pattern recognition, methods and algorithms for digital processing and analysis of multispectral images of remote sensing of the Earth. The principles of automated decoding of images are described with the aim of distinguishing, spatial localization, and multidimensional feature description of objects of the earth's surface in remote monitoring tasks. In the context of monitoring problems of changes in spatial objects, decryption features based on the calculation and interpretation of the spectral and texture characteristics of objects are considered. The approaches to the description of image objects at the geometric level of visual information are highlighted, various models, standards and practical examples of the description are given. Methodological and practical recommendations are given for the development of automated systems for decoding aerospace images
