Аннотация: In the present work, its authors present the new results they obtained on the issue of analyzing some characteristics of machine failures for open cast mining (primarily, mining excavators). Using the tools created by the authors, an analysis of the frequency distribution of the time of occurrence of a single failure and the time sПоказать полностьюpent on eliminating the latter was performed. This made it possible to develop a procedure for analyzing such frequency diagrams using the tools of the Matlab mathematical package - and it turned out that it was necessary to take at least 20 harmonics. In addition, the authors formulated the problem of optimizing the area of such graphs, called the entropy by the authors and being a measure of the efficiency of the section repair services.
