Аннотация: Single crystals of Ho1-xNdxFe3(BO3)4 (х=0,5) were grown from solution melts based on Bi2Mo3O12. The ratios of the melt-solution components, the conditions and the growth regimes are given. Magnetic properties of grown crystals were studied. The modern development of radioelectronic equipment requires materials with high crystallographic perfection and purity. A promising class of research objects are rare-earth ferroborates with the general formula RFe3(BO3)4. They have a crystal structure isomorphic to the structure of the huntite mineral CaMg3(CO3)4. In all crystals of this class (with R = Y, Pr ÷ Er), a magnetoelectric effect was observed. The crystals belong to multiferroics group. Studying them is one of the important directions in modern solid state physics «Belokoneva E.L., Timchenko T.I. The highest values of the induced magnetoelectric polarization in the family of rare-earth ferroborates are found in NdFe3(BO3)4 crystals (P = 300 μC / m2 at H=10T, T=4K) «A.M. Kadomtseva, Yu.F. [JETP Lett. 83, № 11 (2006) 509]» [3, с. 600]. The NdFe3(BO3)4 crystal is easy-plane, and the HoFe3(BO3)4 crystal is easy-axis. Therefore, when changing the ratio of rare-earth ions, the properties of a simple and a light plane, as well as angular magnetic structures are possible.
