Аннотация: Currently, information about the safety and quality of consumer goods attracts a lot of attention, but there is a question about consumer confidence in the sources of information, their independence, competence and objectivity. Comparative testing of goods and services is one of the most effective mechanisms for informing consumersПоказать полностьюabout the quality of goods developed in the international and European community.Comparative testing is an independent evaluation of similar goods, but different brands and manufacturers, on the basis of objective evidence, surveys, tests, measurements, demonstrations, experimental using, tastings in order to provide the necessary information to consumers and stakeholders.This publication contains the methodological basis of consumer testing of products such as multicookers, Christmas trees, leather haberdashery, etc. Proposed methods are aimed at the selection and evaluation of the most important characteristics of the product, forming the basis of its competitiveness. The uniqueness of the proposed methods lies in the possibility of optimal selection of existing standards for the product, taking into account the actual practice of its use and the current market conditions.The results of the conducted research allowed to form proposals to the Federal Agency for technical regulation and Metrology to change the content of a number of interstate standards for consumer goods. In addition, the results of consumer testing supplemented the monitoring base of the regional market on the quality and safety of goods. Such a base as a publicly available information resource is used today by buyers to exercise their right to informed and rational choice of useful products.
