Аннотация: Статья обобщает практический опыт проведения масштабного студенческого мероприятия, определяет его роль в формировании и укреплении межэтнических и межкультурных связей в молодежной среде на примере проходившего в 2019 году в городе Красноярске одного из известных спортивных молодежных праздников - Всемирной зимней Универсиады. ПреПоказать полностьюдставленный материал содержит сведения об истории зарождения праздника студенческого спорта и его развитии. Универсиада рассматривается в работе не только как молодежная версия Олимпийских игр, где в спортивной борьбе состязаются между собой представители молодежи из разных стран, но и как социокультурная площадка, в рамках которой люди разных поколений делятся своими традициями, обмениваются опытом, узнают больше интересной информации напрямую от носителей иноязычной культуры. На основе метода включенного наблюдения проведен анализ поведения участников Универсиады; определена роль спортивного праздника как одного из элементов молодежной праздничной культуры в укреплении межэтнических, межкультурных связей России с другими странами-участницами данного события. Авторами статьи выявлены функции, которые выполняют подобного рода спортивные мероприятия: развлекательная, коммуникативная, воспитательно-обучающая и просветительская. Произведен краткий анализ каждой из них. В заключительной части научной статьи автором сделаны выводы по изложенной теме. The article presents a definition of the concept of a sports festival, as well as its role in the formation and strengthening of intercultural relations among young people and among citizens of Russia and other countries. One of the famous youth sports holidays, the World Winter Universiade, was taken as an example, and the experience of its holding in the city of Krasnoyarsk in 2019 was also considered. The authors of the article also designated a number of educational functions that perform such sporting events. The article provides a brief analysis and describes the important cultural events held as part of the Universiade. The description of special traditional and modern customs and rituals inherent only to this sporting event is given. The material presented here also includes historical information and information about places and key dates for the Universiade. The Universiade is considered in the work no longer as international student games, where young people from different countries compete in sports, but as a sociocultural platform where people of different generations can exchange their traditions, can learn more interesting information directly from native speakers and share their experience. In the process of research and work on the article, many features of the Universiade sports event were analyzed as one of the elements of the youth festive culture, as well as its influence on strengthening intercultural ties between Russia and other countries participating in this event. In the final part of the scientific article the author has made conclusions on the stated topic. The share of the authors is 0.125 of publishers signature; the total volume of the article is 0.25 of publishers signature.
