Аннотация: The work is devoted to the analysis of innovative technologies and practical engineering solutions in justifying and assessing the impact of digital transformation of small towns on the quality of life of its citizens. The article reveals the features of digitalization of small cities and defines its main directions. The analysis oПоказать полностьюf trends and directions of the digital economy development in Russia was carried out and the need of small towns in digital services was investigated. The elements of the directions of digital transformation are reviewed and described and its impact on the quality of life of citizens is substantiated. The main tasks of the development and implementation of the "Smart City"were identified and recognized on the example of the closed administrative-territorial formation "Zheleznogorsk", Krasnoyarsk Territory. It is concluded that the digital transformation of cities and the development of new forms of public self-government will allow the formation of an environment and an active community capable of solving the strategic tasks of the municipality. In the conclusion, it was noted that the main tasks for the development of the directions for creating the Smart City project are the transition to platform solutions, the transfer and storage of data in cloud structures, the development of uniform technological regulations for access to data and the creation of additional services on their basis. In the future, the expansion of the range of services and an increase in the number of users can give an economic effect, ensuring an increase in the investment attractiveness of the territory, and the strengthening of economic ties between business entities. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
