Аннотация: A special role in the nation-building of the districts of the Soviet North is played by the phenomenon of Kultbaz as one of the leading cultural actors in remote territories, which are places of compact residence of indigenous peoples. The cultural centers followed the principles of the Soviet national policy towards the indigenousПоказать полностьюpeoples of the North and performed an important social and cultural function. The authors describe the activities of the museums of Taimyr and Evenkia of these years, the specifics of exhibition activities, the work of key artists among the representatives of the indigenous peoples of the North, and the features of Arctic architecture in large cities of the districts. The significance of artistic visual practices lies in the fact that they represent the features of the structure of society, which are perceived through the optics of human reflection. The purpose of the article is to partially complete and comprehensively present the history of the formation of the Evenk and Taimyr national districts in the period of 1920-1970s in the optics of cultural and artistic practices. © Siberian Federal University.
