Аннотация: The paper describes the mathematical models of VSS electric, magnetic and hydrodynamic fields (the Moreau-Evans method). The computations were carried out using the following inputs: the stud current distribution, the collector bar current distribution, and the induced B gradients along the cell perimeter. The models make it possibПоказать полностьюle to develop two-dimensional current density maps of the anode, bath, metal, cathode bottom and also the induced B vectors in the metal, the metal flow patterns and the metal-bath boundary configuration. Based on the experimental metal flow pattern data, a method is developed to determine the drag coefficient to be used in the computation of the metal's flow velocity. Computation results are shown for a S-8BM cell design.
