Аннотация: The experience gained in the employment of automated systems for monitoring the stress-strain state (SSS) of hydraulic structures has highlighted a problem concerning the use of aged measuring string transducers (string sensors, SS). After a service life of 15 - 20 years, SSs show a gradual deterioration of their performance characПоказать полностьюteristics, at an annual rate of about 1% (or higher), so that after a lapse of 25 - 30 years, some 20 - 30% of the total of sensors placed in the concrete may drift out of tolerance limits. Signs of aging of a sensor are substantial decrease in output signal amplitude and in signal-to-noise ratio at the input of a measuring instrument and, as a consequence, an inadmissibly large error in the string vibration period. As an example, are experimentally measured traces for transient processes recorded on six string sensors during testing of an automated SSS monitoring system at the Zeiskaya Hydroelectric Power Plant (HPP).
