Аннотация: The study of the antlers change by Siberian deer (Cervus elaphus sibiricus Severtzov, 1873) was undertaken from 1978 till 2005. More than 200 male deers were observed in their habits. The antlers shed was established to begin in the Stolby Nature Reserve at the second half of March, to continue during April and sometimes in May. ThПоказать полностьюe growth of the young antlers starts at the end of March - in the beginning of April and finishes, as a rule, at the end of July - in the beginning of August. In the middle of August the antlers are peeled away from the skin. A number of different factors characterizing peculiar features of the past winter as well as an age and a health status of animals influence the period of the antlers change. This causes the time variety of antlers change in the population. Sometimes in one group of the Siberian deers there are male deers with the old antlers and the males with the young small antlers of the different sizes.
