Аннотация: The research of the history of international relations in the cross-border region of Siberia, Mongolia and China is impossible without a study of the economic relations and organization of trade in the region. The problem of the organization of Chinese-Mongolian trade in the period of the Qing Empire not only concerns problems of CПоказать полностьюhinese-Mongolian relations, but also influences the research of the history of Russian-Chinese, Russian-Mongolian relations, the region's history. In Russian historiography, the topic of the organization of Chinese trade in Mongolia is almost unstudied. The article is devoted to Chinese trade in Mongolia in the second half of the 19th - early 20th centuries. The article describes the system of the organization of Chinese trade in Mongolia and the economic behavior of Chinese merchants. Until 1860, all trade, import and export, was in the hands of the Chinese. After 1860, Russian merchants came to Mongolia of the Qing Empire, and a competitive fight for the Mongolian market began. The opening of Mongolia for Russian merchants became an important event in the Russian-Chinese relations. Special attention is paid to the aspects of Chinese-Mongolian trade which influenced the Russian-Chinese competition in Mongolia. The research work is based on the traveling diaries and reports of expeditions of the Imperial Russian Geographical Society. The diaries and travel notes of the Imperial Russian Geographical Society have great historical value, in particular in the research of problems of Russian-Chinese relations in Mongolia. Among the main features of the organization of Chinese-Mongolian trade are: a wide distribution network across all the territory of Mongolia, a system of debt obligations of Mongols before Chinese trading houses, the use of natural barter, a special system of crediting. The practical importance and relevance are determined by the updating of historical materials about the little-studied aspects of trade on the borders of the Qing Empire, the principles of international economic relations in the second half of the 19th - early 20th centuries. Besides, in modern conditions of development of the tripartite relations of Russia, Mongolia and China, the account of historical experience in trade is one of the main conditions of productive cooperation. Results of this article can be considered in the development of cross-border trade, in the formation of tripartite cooperation in the economic sphere.
