Some leading sociologists offered their opinions on the questions of role and place of empirical studies in the existing approaches to sociological studies; significance of studying empirical sociology (i.a., its hiПоказать полностьюstory); interrelations between empirical studies and the overall prospects for sociology; the most outstanding - under Russian conditions today - problems of empirical sociology. Symptomatically, most of the answers raise crucial issues of contemporary Russian sociology both as an academic discipline, research practices, and university teaching.
