Modern Eniseisk city layout is characterized by different street planning patterns with a mixture of buildings from different ages. Many cities have faced the fact that new buildings have to be built in the historic environment. Thus, one of the most pressing issues today is the interaction of modern and historic architecture. Modern conditions of urban development witness the destruction of architectural monuments, which are objects of cultural heritage. The same fate awaits manor complexes, which Siberian cities are famous for. The authors of this article examine possible architectural and urban planning solutions to ensure the preservation of historic sites and their functioning today. Several solutions are considered. One of them is the preservation of original activity in a historic building, may be partially, given the current situation. Another option is to choose a new occupancy type contrasting to the original, preserving design and architectural merits of buildings after restoration. Another option is to introduce new technologies into the new life of an object. Data of the analysis of restoration techniques applicable to the Manor complexes in Siberian cities (including Eniseysk city) show that there are some solutions, which have a perspective of development. The first Russian city in the central part of Siberia is Eniseisk, located on the bank of the Yenisei River. Specific features of urban manor areas of Eniseisk are researched using the example of the town's center. The city itself is unique due to the fact that most of the historic buildings are related to the 19th century and they have mostly retained its original look. The territory under research is, the intersection of two streets: Lenina and Partizanskaya. The whole area under research falls under the criteria of cultural heritage object. Each building collapses in time, and if the building is not in use, it will slowly deteriorate which currently occurs with many manors on the territory of Yeniseisk city. This is due to the fact that building framework will gradually lose its strength and then cease to fulfill their original functions. To avoid this, historic building should be given any function satisfying the needs of modern society. There are several solutions to this problem. The Research shows that many cities face the problem of interaction with historical buildings and making changes to them. Sometimes these changes adversely affect manor buildings, but there are different architectural and urban.
