Аннотация: Electrocoagulation treatment of effluents can be carried out with soluble electrodes in crossed direct and alternating inhomogeneous electric fields. When oil-emulsion effluents are treated in this way, the alternating component prevents the formation of an oil film on the anode, but the power consumption is then considerable. To rПоказать полностьюeduce the power consumption and to conduct the process under stable conditions, the scope for treating oil emulsions with unsymmetrical current was examined. In the treatment of emulsions containing petroleum products at various concentrations with unsymmetrical current waveforms, one can select the optimum waveform by altering the period, the duration of the reverse current, and the amplitudes of the current pulses. A solution of NaCl was added to increase the electrical conductivity in all (NaCl concentration 0. 5 mg/liter). To evaluate the effects of factors governing the process, a second-order experiment plan with a Box-Hunter method was used.
