Аннотация: This article examines the impact of fiscal, legal, economic, demographic, natural-geographic factors on the evolution of the merchant class of the Yenisei province in the 1860-ies - the beginning of the twentieth century. Having studied statistics, information, class-of a personal nature, archival documents, the authors came to theПоказать полностьюconclusion that the effect of each factor was vector. Fiscal and legal policy of the state, following the socio-economic processes of the Russian Empire structured the merchant, and determined the ratio of class of business and functions. Economic conditions tied to the resource and commodity and logistics indicators have been defined the dynamics of entrepreneurial activity of merchant capital. The demographic factor, which is expressed in quantitative and qualitative indicators of the population as a whole, determined the background of the modernization process in the country: urbanization, the degree of social mobility, growth of entrepreneurial activity. The interaction of these factors gave rise to their complex layering on top of each other that defines the individual pattern of regional character. But, despite the presence of regional particularities, the General course of the evolution of the merchant class of the Yenisei province, and merchants of the Russian Empire, followed the path of the liberation of the enterprise from class barriers.
