Аннотация: Recently, the potential of using brain-spine interfaces in restoring gait after a spinal cord injury in non-human primates was shown. In a closed loop consisting of brain activity recording, spinal cord stimulation, and optical gait tracking, natural movements of a paralyzed lower limb were restored. Within this closed loop, trackiПоказать полностьюng the gait pattern was crucial for analyzing gait kinematics and providing a feedback to the stimulation device in order to adjust the stimulation signal. However, the optical system used in the study has number of demerits. In order to tackle this problem an implantable device based on inertial measurement unit has been developed. © 2018 IEEE.
