Аннотация: Changes of mountainous forest-tundra ecotone induced by climate were analyzed. Object of research is located at the Sengilen ridge (Altae-Sayanskii region). Based on analysis of topographic materials, satellite scene and digital elevation model it was concluded that in mountainous forest-tundra ecotone area of closed stands increasПоказать полностьюed by ~100% during the period of 1965 - 2002. As for elevation above sea level stands area increased near the upper treeline mainly. Stands area increase regarding to slopes is irregular: low and high degree slopes are occupied mainly. The rate of stands invasion by elevation gradient is estimated, rate is ~1 m/yr. As for aspects the minimum of stands distribution is observed for altitudes higher than 2200 m, it is probably due to degree of moisture. For the altitudes 2300 m wind direction becomes dominated factor of trees survival: distribution of stands by azimuth is corresponding to wind rose.
