Аннотация: New temperature treatment conditions were proposed for the Pervouralsk quartzite PKMI-1V used as a lining material for commercial-frequency induction crucible furnaces. The new conditions allow conducting synthetic pig iron smelting at the temperatures in excess of 1450°C while maintaining high lining resistance.
