Аннотация: Kinetic regularities of oxidation of Sn-Ag liquid alloys at T = 1273 K in air are investigated. The so-called catastrophic oxidation of melts containing 70 and 80 at % Ag is found. X-ray powder diffraction analysis of the scale forming on all Sn-Ag alloys, including such oxidation, showed that it consists of SnO2 and silver metal.
