Аннотация: The present article examines the erratological aspect of literary translation. The research methodology is based on the universal scientific categories such as information ambiguity, harmony / disharmony, symmetry / asymmetry. The translation irregularities and errors of cultural nature are focused on in the study. The paper deals Показать полностьюwith the most frequent error causes and proposes a possible typology of the translation errors caused by the cultural asymmetry and lacunarity of the original texts and their translations. The erratology is considered to be one of the most significant parts of the would-be axiological translation studies.
