Аннотация: Since the middle of the 20th century natural diamonds enjoy an increasing demand in the world. In Russia diamonds are mostly extracted by open pit mining in the northern areas of the Arkhangelsk Region in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). In these regions natural landscape has suffered the heaviest disturbance due to mining. Based oПоказать полностьюn the remote sensing results it has been concluded on the low efficiency of vegetation cover on the surface of overburden dumps processed kimberlite storages at mining processing plants which carry out open pit mining of diamonds from kimberlite pipes in Yakutia. The highest vegetation cover ratio of 0.2155 is determined on the surface of processed kimberlite storages at the Mir pipe the lowest index of 0.0073 belongs to overburden dumps at the Aikhal pipe. The ecology of the natural mining-induced landscape is assessed by means of comparison of their vegetation cover ratios. For the mining-induced landscapes at kimberlite pipes considering their geographical location in the territory of Russia the package of measures is proposed for the land reclamation. The implementation of these measures will accelerate recovery of ecological balance in the areas adjacent to the objects of the mining-induced landscapes. © 2020, "Ore and Metals" Publishing house.
